A PARISH council has issued an update on its parish plan.

Brizlincote Parish Council revealed that it would not be preparing a plan after saying it ‘would not be appropriate’ at this point in time.

Instead, it will concentrate on other matters that would be ‘better served’ by its resources.

A spokesman for the council told the Mail: “This, of course, does not mean that this will not be re-visited in the future, perhaps with an eye to the new neighbourhood plans as various local areas trial the idea.

“We await the outcomes of these pilot schemes with interest.”

A consultation seeking views of residents was undertaken asking their thoughts on a parish plan.

Improvement of planting, hedges and open spaces in the parish as well as concerns over traffic speeds and parking were the main problems raised by people in the area.
