YOUNGSTERS from Winshill, 22nd St Mark’s, Burton Scout Group passed on some festive spirit to residents at a Burton care home, when they went to sing Christmas carols earlier in the week.

Cubs who attend the group spent time at Carden Bank Rest Home, on Belvedere Road, on Monday evening, when they performed for people at the home with a series of Christmas songs.

The miniature concert was planned not only as a way to share some of the joy of the season, but also as a thank you to staff and residents, who recently donated £500 to the scout group to fund activities and resources.

Around 10 cubs and their leaders went along to the performance to sing traditional carols and more modern Christmas songs, which the residents all enjoyed.

Winshill, 22nd St Mark’s, Burton Scout Group is based opposite St Mark’s Church in Church Hill Street, Winshill.

The group has beavers, cubs and scout members.
