YOUNG dancers wowed proud onlooking parents at an end-of-year showcase extravaganza.
About 150 youngsters aged from four to 26 with Christina’s School of Street put on the performance at Burton Town Hall.
The show-stopping act, which lasted two and a half hours, included dance routines known as locking, breaking and whaacking carried out to hip-hop and house music.
The dance school’s manager Christina Drew, 26, praised the efforts of the dancers.
She said: “It was the end of year showcase which showed to the parents and friends all the different dance moves and styles they have learned over the last year.
“The show went without a hitch and that was thanks to the parent chaperones who made sure that it all went perfectly.
“It was amazing because they have worked so hard for the last 12 months towards this.
“It means everything to the parents because they can come and see how the dancers have improved.”
