AFTER achieving the best possible results for all four of her A-levels, Deanna Butler has every right to be feeling smug.
The 18-year-old, of Park Road, Barton-under-Needwood, walked away from John Taylor High School with four A*s in maths, further maths, chemistry and physics – providing her with a great finish to two years of hard work during her A-levels.
Deanna, who was the highest achiever in the school, will now go to Newcastle University to study chemical engineering.
She told the Mail: “I was so happy when I opened my results. I didn’t expect them to I was quite shocked. I had been predicted a few A*s, but not this many.
“Some of the exams were really hard, so I didn’t know how I had done.
“My family are definitely very proud.
Deanna said her life had been taken over by revision in the run up to exams, but added humbly that everyone had been in the same boat.
“I feel a bit lost at the moment. I’ve been at John Taylor for seven years and it’s weird to have finished,” she added.
