A GROUP of football coaches from Derby County Community Trust have been helping a Pingle School pupil with her latest charity challenge.
Chelsea Neat, who has raised thousands of pounds for Help for Heroes over the past two years, organise her challenge with fellow pupils to ‘cycle’ around the world at the Coronation Street school.
In her latest leg of the fund-raising effort, coaches from Derby County Community Trust joined in the fun.
She told The Mail: “The around the world in 80 school days event is being done mainly by 100 pupils at the school but I did think we needed some help though and have asked the community groups that are involved with the school to help out along the way.
“Derby County Community Trust is one of those groups that provide support to the school curriculum well as through football coaching.”
Richard Mansfield, participation manager at Derby County Community Trust, said: “We are always happy to come to Pingle, they are a valued partner and we were delighted to come and contribute a few miles to the challenge Chelsea has set her fellow pupils.
“The around the world in 80 school days bike ride looks like it will raise a lot of money for a very good cause and we wanted to add to that total.”
