POLICE swooped on properties across Burton to arrest suspected drug dealers with the message - ‘if you thought that we missed you, you were wrong’.
Eight people were being quizzed today as more than 150 officers from Staffordshire Police launched a series of dawn raids to bring drug crime in the town to its knees.
The raids came on the back of two similar swoop this year, which were carried out under the force’s county-wide Operation Nemesis and saw 31 people charged with drug offences.
Chief Inspector Steve Maskrey said: “We have acted on information and drug dealers have been taken off the streets but our fight against these criminals is ongoing.”
