A PUBLIC exhibition has been organised to showcase revised proposals for a previously-approved plans for more than 150 homes.
Housebuilder Taylor Wimpey North Midlands is hosting the event to allow residents, businesses, community groups and other interested parties to learn more about the plans to build high-quality homes on land to the north of Hepworth Road.
It will take place from 1pm to 8pm on Wednesday, February 13 at Woodville Youth and Community Centre, in Moira Road.
Ken Phillips, land and planning director for Taylor Wimpey, said: “We understand the importance of giving people the chance to get involved and have their say on development plans for their community – and that’s why we want to give Woodville residents every opportunity to view and comment on these proposals.
“We are confident that this development would not only fulfil a need for more high-quality homes in the local area, but that it would also positively enhance the community for the benefit of everyone.
“Those visiting our public exhibition will be able to speak to the Taylor Wimpey project team to find out more about this scheme, as well as provide us with their valuable feedback.”
Detailed planning approval has already been granted by North West Leicestershire District Council for a residential development of 157 contemporary homes, however, the building firm has drawn up an alternative scheme comprising traditional-style properties which are in keeping with the surrounding area.
Feedback received at the event will be used to help the company refine its proposals for the site before a full detailed planning application is submitted.
Should the plans be approved, Taylor Wimpey will also make financial contributions for community facilities and infrastructure via a Section 106 agreement.
