EASTERN European folk songs will be top of the bill during another council supported event.

MuHa, a Nottingham-based multi-cultural contemporary folk band, will be entertaining the crowds at a Live & Local special event supported by Staffordshire County Council, East Staffordshire Borough Council and Arts Council England.

MuHa’s debut album Taras received critical acclaim and the band continues to fine-tune its musical offering through interesting collaborations with other world musicians.

It creates an original repertoire of Eastern European contemporary folk songs with Russian lyrics and flavours from Africa, Asia and Latin America.

Band members originate from Ukraine, Latvia, Northern Ireland and Russia.

RoDSEC (Rolleston on Dove Special Events Committee) has organised the concert which will take place on Sunday, March 10, from 7.30pm, at Rolleston Club, in Burnside.

Tickets cost £8 and are available from Starbucks Newsagent, in Burnside, Rolleston on Dove, or by phoning 01283 813122.
