Former pub to receive facelift

THE site of a former pub will finally be turned into ten homes, after planning permission was approved.

The Nelson Inn, in Nelson Street, Winshill, and its land will now be the site of eight three bedroom and two one bedroom homes, after planning officers at East Staffordshire Borough Council gave the application the green light.

Permission has already been given for the site, but it was resubmitted to take some account of a public sewer.

Another new element also includes two single bedroom homes with integral garages.
