GCSE STUDENTS AT DE FERRERS BREAK THROUGH THE 80% A*-C BARRIER FOR THE FIRST TIME

We are very proud of the achievements of our students this year. For the first time ever, the college has broken through the 80% barrier with 82% of the year group achieving 5 A*-C. For the sixth consecutive year, the percentage of 5A*-C, including English and Maths has also risen. A particularly striking statistic is that 74% of our students will receive two Science GCSEs, which is a significant increase on last year’s performance. This follows on from the excellent Science results at ‘A’ level.

These results are a tribute to the tremendous hard work and commitment of both students and staff. Our focus over the last five years on Personalising Learning is reflected in the continuous improvement in performance at all levels.
