HUNDREDS of pounds have been raised after members of a Burton sports club went without their razors for a month.

Teams at Branston Golf and County Club raised £300 as part of the Movemebr campaign which raises cash to combat prostate and testicular cancer.

Steve Gray, bar manager at the club said: “We’ve caught the imagination of our members and guests who have watched our facial adornments grow and given generously.

“Now its December I can’t wait to get mine off as my wife hates it”.

Fitness instructor Phil Mead, said “It’s been great fun brightening up a dull November, adding to the relaxed atmosphere of the club, where soon we’ll be welcoming those wanting to get back into shape following the Christmas festivities.”
