SPRINGTIME events and activities in the National Forest and South Derbyshire have been detailed in a new ‘What’s On’ guide.

Published by South Derbyshire District Council, the booklet covers sessions scheduled to take place between March and June.

They include the English Schools’ Athletic Association’s National Cross Country Championships on Saturday, March 16, at Catton Park; exclusive access to Catton Hall’s chapel in April; and the chance to visit Betty’s Farm, in Willington, in June.

The guide also details history days at Calke Abbey, including an event with wildlife expert Matthew Oates in April.

Council leader Bob Wheeler (pictured) said: “There’s a vast variety of fun things to do.”
