A SHOP owner has come up with an unusual idea to make use of a garden, after his plans were given the green light.
Mr Atwal has already been given permission to turn his Atwal Off-licence at 88 Hill Street, Stapenhill, into three flats, after he lost much of his trade to a nearby Tesco Express.
However, he has now also been given permission by East Staffordshire Borough Council to build a separate gym on the shared garden.
In the planning application it said that since this approval and interest in the letting of the flats, it is considered that in lieu of the outside shared garden area, a small building accommodating gym equipment would be ‘more beneficial.’
The proposal is to construct the single storey building within the existing garden, away from the neighbouring property along Frederick Street and the boundary wall abutting the highway.
