Hearing to consider appeal over village plan

AN informal hearing is to take place as part of an appeal against a council’s decision to refuse planning permission for a village scheme.

The session has been triggered by Charles Calladine’s move to challenge East Staffordshire Borough Council’s refusal of his scheme earmarked for Barton Road, Woodhouses, near Yoxall.

He has asked the planning inspectorate to let him site two mobile homes, build a detached garage to form a day room, and alter existing vehicular access.

As part of the appeal process, inspector K Nield will preside over the hearing from 10am on Tuesday, February 26, in the Blantyre Room at Burton Town Hall.

The challenge is scheduled to be determined within seven weeks of the hearing.
