A BURTON business leader has called on the Government and Bank of England to do everything in their power ‘to drive down inflation’.
Chris Plant, director of Burton and District Chamber of Commerce, spoke after Bank governor Mervyn King warned inflation would remain above two per cent for another two years.
He said: “All efforts by the Government and Bank must be to drive down inflation.”
