FASHIONISTAS can get measured up for the perfect pair of jeans this weekend – by stepping into a special 3D body scanner.
Coopers Square shopping centre will be hosting a visit from the Denim Surgery from 10am to 4pm on Saturday, in a bid to banish ill-fitting jeans forever.
The event will allow fashion-conscious shoppers to get their precise body measurements, plus an in-depth analysis of their body shape.
Centre manager Dave Chadfield said: “A visit to the Denim Surgery is a fantastic opportunity for anyone who has ever struggled to find a great fitting pair of jeans, or just simply has an interest in fashion and seasonal trends.
“It’s completely free for everyone to enjoy and there’s no need to book an appointment – you can just turn up on the day.
“We will have a host of experts on hand to guide shoppers through the maze of autumn and winter fashion trends – from a range of denim styles and shapes, to ways of accessorising and dressing your new-found jeans.
“The Denim Surgery is only here for one day and we expect the event will be really popular, so please make sure you arrive in good time.”
The 3D scanner will form part of a ‘changing room-style’ cubicle and works by projecting a series of white lights onto users.
Customers are shown a 3D image of their avatar on screen along with 2D front and side images of their body scan.
They will then be handed their own set of measurements to take away with them.
Trained style consultants will also be on hand to analyse each user, in order to identify whether their body falls into the category of hourglass, rectangle, round, triangle or inverted triangle.
Also on hand will be a colour consultant to explain which pallets and tones compliment a customer’s colouring.
Shoppers will also be able to learn about a variety of other areas, including the best accessories to wear.
