Written byHELEN KREFT

A SUCCESSFUL project which helps people facing unemployment and redundancy is taking place on Wednesday.

Social housing provider, Orbit Heart of England, along with East Staffordshire Borough Council and other partner agencies in the East Staffordshire Worklessness Action Group is hosting another job opportunities day between 9.30am and noon at the Meadowside Leisure Centre.

Simon Farneti, community housing officer (Orbit Heart of England), said, “We know the Job Opportunities Days work. At our last event, over 300 people attended. Of the 110 job opportunities on offer, 55 were filled on the day and a further 91 interviews and future appointments arranged.

“There will be informal workshops to help with CV writing, interview techniques, starting your own business as well as information sessions around work clubs and apprenticeships. They are a great opportunity for people facing an uncertain future to get support and practical help in finding a job or developing new work related skills through training.”

Employers who would like to book a stand at this event, can phone Simon Farneti (Orbit Heart of England) on 0345 8 500 500.
