A SOUTH Derbyshire nursery which was crowned as the winner of a national competition has been given the go-ahead to begin building its prize.
The Old Forge Day Nursery, in Findern, scooped £20,000 after being voted the winner of a Dora the Explorer competition late last year.
It is to spend the cash on a log cabin, which will contain a dance studio and a sensory room.
It had long been an ambition of the nursery to create a log cabin at the site, with the funding boost enabling it to become a reality.
The nursery has now been given the green light to proceed with its plans by South Derbyshire District Council.
