A PUBLIC consultation into the future of mobile libraries in South Derbyshire has begun.
People are being urged to have their say on the service after Derbyshire County Council announced it could be scrapped to save cash.
The authority has unveiled three options for the service going forward, which include axing the service altogether.
Other avenues being explored are scrapping the eight smaller vehicles and keeping the two larger ones, cutting seven smaller vehicles and one larger one, or inviting volunteers or community groups to takeover the running of the service.
County council communities chief Dave Allen said: “We want to make sure as many people as possible get the chance to have their say.
