A COFFEE morning has been held to celebrate the purchase of a new exhibition display boards and a scanner by a burgeoning camera club.
Melbourne Photographic Society held the event at the Thomas Cook Memorial Hall, in Melbourne to celebrate the new arrivals.
The society was able to purchase these items of equipment following the awarding of grants from Derbyshire County Council and the community fund at East Midlands Airport.
A spokesman for the club told the Mai: “A large number of visitors and members attended the event and enjoyed the photographic exhibition and sale of member’s cards and pictures, along with the tea, coffee and excellent cakes.
“The society was pleased to welcome Penny Cureton, from East Midlands Airport, who handed over the scanner to the society.”
