A BURTON pub company has joined forces with East Staffordshire Borough Council in a bid to regulate is food and health and safety.
East Staffordshire Borough Council has entered into a Primary Authority Partnership with Spirit Pub Company. The scope of the partnership includes food and health and safety regulation and includes Spirit’s portfolio - approximately 800 commercial premises and familiar trading names such as Fayre & Square.
In broad terms, the council having reviewed all company procedures will be issuing assured advice for other regulators to have due regard in their dealings with Spirit.
Councillor Robert Hardwick, the council’s deputy leader for regulatory services, said: “This partnership further demonstrates the councils’ commitment to supporting local enterprise and encouraging business growth and development through collaborative working. This partnership also allows the council to expand the current boundaries of regulatory effort.”
