A PAWN shop business which has a store in Burton has urged those who can’t afford a holiday to sell-off unwanted belongings.
Cash Converters, which has a shop in Station Street, made the appeal after figures from the Office for National Statistics said almost a third of people have not got enough cash for a summer holiday.
The firm also revealed that one in 14 people have about £1,000 of old items hidden away in their attic.
David Patrick, chief executive of Cash Converters UK, said: “Our survey shows that many people hoard these unwanted, but potentially valuable items, because they don’t translate their value in practical terms. Even the odd tenner here and there can add up.
“And those who think they could have up to £1000 of unused items in the loft could potentially have the funds for a really good summer holiday.”
