Plant expansion serves Burton

Written byBY ADRIAN JENKINS

BURTON has a new business leader.

Chris Plant has been appointed divisional membership director at Burton and District Chamber of Commerce, a role he will fill while doing a similar job at Chase Chamber.

The Chase-based 29-year-old, who succeeds Dave Bryon, has been area manager for Birmingham Chamber of Commerce Group since February last year and was previously its marketing and events manager.

Mr Plant was previously marketing co-ordinator for Southern Staffordshire Chamber of Commerce and a business investment and support officer at Lichfield District Council.

Mr Plant, who was schooled in Walsall, said: “My new role gives me a great opportunity to expand on the work I have been doing and I greatly look forward to working with my contacts to enhance the chambers’ reputation.”

Burton chamber president Dawn Ward said Mr Plant would be a ‘great asset’.
