webpicPOLICE are appealing for information after three men forced their way into a house in South Derbyshire and threatened one of the occupants.
At around 6.40pm on Saturday, the men knocked on the door of a house in The Burrows, Newhall.
The door was opened and one of the men pushed past and threatened a 25-year-old man who lives at the address. A scuffle took place and the men left.
The men were all dressed in black and had scarves over their faces.
Officers, who have just released this information to the Mail, are investigating possible links between this crime and two other similar incidents which took place on February 28.
Three men barged into a house on Swadlincote Road, Woodville, at around 5pm. One of the men assaulted the occupant, a 26-year-old woman, before stealing electrical equipment.
The man who assaulted the victim was black, in his late 20s, around 5ft 5in tall, of slim build, with a shaved hair. He was wearing dark clothing.
The second intruder was white, around 25-years-old, 5ft 5in tall, and of medium build. He was wearing dark clothing. The third man was black, late 20s, around 5ft 5in tall, of medium build, with shaved hair.
At around 5.50pm on the same day, two men walked into a house on Cecil Road, Newhall. They threatened a 55-year-old woman and stole cash, two mobile phones and a laptop.
