Police ask for help in tracing shed break pair

POLICE are appealing for witnesses after revealing that a man looked out of his window to see two men trying to break into his shed.

The victim heard noises in the garden of his home, in Hamilton Drive, Swadlincote, at around 7.30am on Saturday, March 9.

He saw the men using a tool to try and break into his shed and rang police.

When officers arrived, the burglars ran off through woodlands near Frank Bodicote Way.

The men were white and one was aged 18 to 30, of medium build and around 6ft tall. He wore a navy blue hooded anorak and jeans. The other man was aged 18 to 25, slim and about 5ft 9ins tall. He wore a grey and blue hooded top and jeans.

Section inspector Paul Cannon is urging anyone with information to call police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
