POLICE have been clamping down on off road motorcycles in the Willington area in response to concerns raised by the community.
Several people have been caught causing annoyance and distress to the residents in the past few months.
PCSO Lee Orme, from Derbyshire Police, said:” We have responded to complaints and concerns from the community in relation to nuisance bikes in this area.
“A Section 59 will be issued to anyone causing alarm, distress or annoyance to the public on or off the road with their vehicle, this can and will lead to the vehicle being seized if the behaviour continues.
“The warning will stay with this particular teenager and his bike for one year. If he breaches the warning it will result in his bike being seized.
“We will target anyone causing nuisance behaviour which affects the quality of life for people in this neighbourhood.”
