A SOUTH Derbyshire pre-school was a sea of pink after its manager organised a fund-raising drive for a cancer charity.
Elaine Milsom-Waters, manager of the Little Angels Pre-School at the Old Post Centre, Newhall, organised to event, which children and staff took part in, to raise money for Breast Cancer Research.
The event was part of the charity’s Wear It Pink campaign which aims to raise awareness about the disease.
She said: “We decided to support this charity as it is a personal thing for myself and members of my staff.
“I thought it was a good way of bringing awareness of this terrible disease to all the parents as well in a sociable and fun event for everyone to join in with.
“The response has been brilliant most of the children have been in pink. The money is still coming in but hopefully we will get a lot to help the charity.
“It’s been a good effort from everyone who has taken part and we have even had grandparents contributing.”
Ms Milsom-Waters thanked everybody who had supported the day.
