MEMBERS of the public can have their say on the future of rail travel in Staffordshire.
Staffordshire County Council would like to hear from commuters who use rail services in the county whether their experiences are positive or if improvements are needed.
They can also have their say on the high-speed rail scheme HS2 which will cut through large parts of the Staffordshire if it goes ahead.
Mark Winnington, cabinet member for infrastructure said: “This is a great opportunity for people to have their say on how the wider rail network can be improved.
“Our vision for Staffordshire is for a connected county and a key element of this is a sustainable and efficient rail network which supports economic growth and prosperity.
“To achieve this, it is vital that we talk to people to find out what they think and more importantly what they need from a modern rail network.
“While we have limited direct powers regarding rail travel we can use our findings and influence to work with partners to ensure that Staffordshire has an effective rail network that is fit for the future.”
