DERBY County Football Club mascot Rammie joined Pingle School’s charity bike ride to help pedal around the world in 80 school days.
The event, organised by Year 11 pupils and Burton Mail Children of Courage Award winner Chelsea Neat, to raise funds for Help for Heroes and Sports Relief is all set to smash fund-raising records at the school.
Chelsea told The Mail: “It was great to see Rammie helping us to cycle around the world.
“He was a big hit in school with the teachers and pupils. We are on target to make the long journey around the world in the 80 school days that we have set and hope Rammie will join us again later in the challenge as we reach the end of the journey in Sports Relief week.”
Arron Cuttriss, apprentice at Derby County Community Trust, said: “The trust works closely with the school and Rammie was delighted to support a good cause.”
