A CHARITABLE trust set up in memory of a popular fund-raiser is hosting a music night tomorrow tonight.
After last year’s successful charity music night, The Roy Yeomans Charitable Trust is holding the event at Newhall Social Club, in High Street, Newhall, at 7pm.
Tickets available on the door cost £3 adults and under 16s are free.
Furnace Road - a male duo act covering music through the decades - is providing the entertainment. Both were friends of Roy Yeomans, who lost his battle with lung cancer in September 2011, and offer their time to assist in the trust’s fund-raising as they did last year.
The charitable trust is raising funds to help local people suffering from terminal or life limiting illnesses. The last donation was to nine-year-old grace Mott who was born with hypo plastic heart syndrome and now has equipment that enables her to a better quality of life.
The charitable trust and Winshill Parish FC (YoYo), which also raises money in Roy’s memory, are now fund-raising as two separate organisations, with Shaun Yeomans and Kerry Yeomans leading the Roy Yeomans Charitable Trust, and Kim smith and Kerry Lawrence leading Winshill Parish.
The next event following the music night will be an Easter craft fair on Saturday, March 23 at Stanton Village Hall, in Stanton Road.
