MORE than 400 people enjoyed fun in the sun to help raise money for three charities.
Staff from the B&Q Branston depot organised the charity fun day at Shobnall Leisure Complex, off Shobnall Road, yesterday.
Activities included a host of games and challenges, a Punch and Judy show, a bouncy castle, face painting, balloon modelling, a tombola, raffle and an auction.
Debbie Rapley, charity co-ordinator at the B&Q depot in Branston, told the Mail that the hundreds in attendance had enjoyed a ‘wonderful’ day out.
She said: “We expect that more than 400 people came along to support the event during the five hours it was running.
“From what we have seen everyone had a really wonderful time and it really was a great effort by all those who helped out.
“We hope to have raised a huge amount for the three great causes that we are supporting with this event.”
The fun day was held to raise money for Me & Dee, the Consolidated Charities of Burton and the Star Foundation.
