STAFF at Sainsbury’s in Burton have been clearing out their wardrobes and supporting charity by taking part in a bagathon for the British Heart Foundation.
Workers at the Union Street store have collected several bags full of clothes, which were handed over to a representative from the charity recently.
It coincided with the bagathon which was running in the Burton charity shop last month, in a bid to encourage people to donate items.
Store trainer Angela Fox said the store would continue to collect items, and will also hold other fund raising events, including a coffee morning due to take place next month.
The British Heart Foundation is the store’s charity of the year. It was chosen through a public vote and by a panel in store.
