WOODVILLE man Sam Worth has reached the final six of a modelling competition on day time TV show This Morning.
Sam, 22, a duty manager at Swadlincote Ski and Snowboard Centre, was picked from hundreds of men for the ITV show’s Complete Package competition.
The segment is presented by model Abbey Clancy, who is married to Stoke City footballer Peter Crouch.
Sam, who ladies will be pleased to hear is single, told the Mail: “My best mate suggested I enter it. I had never really thought about it before.”
The contest started with 20 finalists and has now been whittled down to six , with the men taking part in a range of challenges.
Football fan Sam said: “We had a fitness boot camp with celebrity personal trainer Matt Roberts, went rowing on the Thames with London Rowing Club and specifically gold medallist Sophie Hosking.
“We also did a Bay watch/David Gandy style shoot on Margate beach and did a Levis style laundrette shoot.
“All stuff I would never have got chance to do otherwise.”
The next episode will be aired on Wednesday. It was filmed on a night out in London before a magazine shoot the next morning.
Viewers will then vote and the final three will be decided.
The winner will then be crowned on Thursday following a public vote.
They will front a campaign with Hom Underwear, and be signed to a modelling agency for two years.
The winner will also receive £2,000.
Sam graduated with a 2:1 in Sports Journalism from Staffordshire University. He studied A-levels at Ashby School, and prior to that went to Granville Community School and Belmont Primary School.
After university he interned as a magazine editor for a year.
Sam added: “I’m happy and surprised to have got this far, I think I’ve always got a chance while I’m still in it so I wouldn’t count myself out. We’ll see what happens.”
“If I win I won’t be giving up my job straight away but if I start to get lots of modelling work I will probably have to.”
