Soprano to hit high notes

A TOP opera singer is to be the special guest at a concert in a village church.

Yvonne Patrick, a soprano who began her career with the D’Oyly Carte Opera Company and who now sings with the Glyndebourne Festival Opera, will perform at the ‘Spring Celebration with Cantabile and Friends’ on Saturday, March 9, at St George’s Church, Ticknall.

The Lost Chords Quartet and cellist John Miller will also be among performers at the event, scheduled to start at 7pm.

Tickets cost £7, or £4 for under-16s, and drinks and canapes will be provided.
