St George's Park gym workers help cycle trek

Written byROB SMYTH

A TEAM of gym instructors from the health club and spa at St George’s Park joined pupils at a South Derbyshire school on their trip around the world.

Pupils at The Pingle School invited the instructors to take part in the charity ‘Around the World in 80 School Days’ event organised by fund-raiser and Year 11 pupil Chelsea Neat (pictured) in aid of Help for Heroes and Sport Relief.

Chelsea told The Mail: “We have been looking to involve the community in our charity event and asked the workers to help out thinking they would be able to add a lot of miles to our total. They certainly did not disappoint. Everyone enjoyed the visit and we were especially grateful for the fitness advice from the professionals.”

Sarah Hodgson, gym manager, said: “Part of the community support programme encourages all staff to become involved so we were delighted to be asked to come to Pingle.”
