PUPILS at a South Derbyshire school were offered words of wisdom from teachers hoping to help them achieve good exam results.
Pingle School, in Swadlincote, held a mock exams results day to try to replicate the moment when the youngsters will receive their real GCSE results in August.
Parents were invited to join in with the event with the youngsters.
Tommy Pitcher, a Year 11 pupil at the school, said: “I worked really hard for my mock exams and am hoping to study three sciences and maths at Pingle School’s sixth form.
Tommy’s mum Lorraine said: “We are amazingly proud of Tommy, he always works hard at both school and home and tonight we told him we would take him out for tea to celebrate as a treat for doing so well.”
Tony Bamford, deputy head teacher, said: “We are pleased that many of our students have achieved the target grades, but will encourage all students to make sure they achieve their potential.”
