TEMPORARY traffic lights are now installed close to two Burton car parks while improvement works take place.
On Monday, temporary traffic signals were put in place, in Union Street, as work began to improve existing traffic lights.
A spokesman for Staffordshire County Council said that refurbishment of signals which serve Sainsbury’s and Cooper’s Square car parks, in Union Street, began on Monday and are expected to last three to four weeks.
The county council said it expects minimal disruption to be caused by the work, with normal signal operation to be maintained throughout the majority of the operation with no lane closures or diversions.
