THIS image offers a behind the curtain look at what suspected drug dealers faced following their arrests after a succession of raids across the town.
Just hours after 16 men and women were interviewed at Staffordshire Police’s custody suite in Eturia, 14 were charged and appeared at Burton Magistrates’ Court yesterday.
Nine were remanded in custody and the suspects facing the most serious charge of conspiracy to supply class A drug were ordered to attend Stafford Crown Court on Friday, February 22.
Chief Inspector Steve Maskrey, commander of the East Staffordshire local policing team, said: “I am happy with how the operation went.
“If there are people who want to continue to drug deal in Burton, they should be watching over their shoulders.”
