A RETIRED nurse is to walk 10k in memory of her 100-year-old late mother for Marie Curie Cancer Care at Catton Park.
Retired District Nursing sister Tina Grills is taking part in the charity event at the South Derbyshire estate on August 31.
Tina is taking part in recognition of the work that Marie Curie’s nurses do throughout her career.
She said: “The Marie Curie service was an integral part of our team, the nurses were professional, caring and provided the support that enhanced our service.”
She also said of her mother: “She was a staunch supporter of Marie Curie and wore her daffodil with great pride. We will be walking to celebrate her life and remember how much she enriched our own lives”.
Anyone who wants to take part should visit www.mariecurie.org.uk/cattonpark or phone 0845 0524184.
