A DJ from Burton is hoping to spot himself on the small screen, after he was filmed for a new series currently showing on E4.
Nathan Dawe was playing a set at a club in Zante when he was recorded by the crew filming Geeks, a reality programme which shows self-confessed ‘geeks’ enjoying the stereotypical holiday which young people go on.
He is not yet sure when the show will be screened – or whether he will be included – but he is hopeful of a few seconds of screen time.
He told the Mail: “The yacht party that I was DJing on will definitely be shown, and they filmed me for a while so it’s likely it will be shown. As for a specific appearance, as nice as it would be, it might not be the case.”
But whilst he waits for his possible five-minutes of fame, he is busy taking part in a huge range of enterprises Mr Dawe.
The 19-year-old has played with some of the biggest names in the dance industry during his short career, and that has continued this year.
He has rubbed shoulders with many stars over the past few months, including Joey Essex, from The Only Way is Essex, and Lucy Watson and Jamie Laing from Made in Chelsea.
He has been playing all over the UK, including clubs in Essex, Telford and Shrewsbury, where he headlined the college freshers’ foam party and played to a dance floor packed with almost 800 people.
Next week, he will head to Manchester, for the launch of a clothing brand which has been designed by Reece Douglas, who starred in Waterloo Road.
But, in spite of his nomadic lifestyle, he said he never forgets where he comes from.
He said: “I have made sure that I still DJ in Burton on a regular basis. I DJ at Boutique – the R N B room in the Fever nightclub – every Friday night.”
Mr Dawe started DJing when he was a teenager, working for friends and family at parties, and later playing at school discos.
He started working as a co-host in hospital radio, and was then offered a residency at a bar when he was just 15 years of age.
