WORK is continuing apace at a Burton business to transform its headquarters.
Despite it being only days from Christmas, builders were still hard at work renovating the office of electrical firm WT Parker, in Moor Street.
Work on the new look office began earlier this year after the firm acquired of its site from East Staffordshire Borough Council.
The project is expected to be completed around August next year.
The work has involved the demolition of all existing buildings, to be replaced by a new office building and purpose-built workshop for a workforce which makes bespoke motor control panels for clients both in the UK and overseas.
Bosses believe the ambitious project will enhance the area, with the nearby fire station also set to be rebuilt over the next few years.
The firm certainly has the future in mind, with bosses confident the development will set the firm up going ‘into the next century’.
Managing director Sean Smyth said: “More efficient use of space and use of energy-efficient technologies will improve the group’s financial performance and provide our Burton-based employees with up-to-date facilities.”
