Trees added to avenue

Written byMARK MCKAY

AIR cadets have planted an avenue of trees in a South Derbyshire park.

Cadets with Air Training Corps 1211 (Swadlincote) Squadron have added 15 specimen trees on a pathway in Eureka Park, in Swadlincote, which they began in November last year.

Chairman of South Derbyshire District Council’s housing and community services committee John Lemmon said the trees will add to the beauty of the park.

He said: “A number of trees have been removed this winter and are being replaced by these strong and healthy specimens to create a legacy for our children.”
