MORE than 30 firms have now signed up to exhibit at an event designed to reduce unemployment in Burton.
Burton MP Andrew Griffiths revealed that town brewing giant Marston’s and Hatton-based Nestle would be among the firms on hand at the jobs fair on Friday, September 13, at the Pirelli Stadium.
He told the Mail: “It is great to see to another two big firms come on board as part of the jobs fair.
“It shows that these big employers have faith in the event and want to help drive down unemployment.”
The MP also revealed that youngsters trying to get a foot on the ladder in the employment sector would be offered expert training at the event.
He added: “I am pleased to announce that Willmott Dixon will be offering work experience surrounding building, plumbing and plastering to help young people get a taste of certain skills to see if it is something they would like to pursue as a career.
“I think this is a great thing to have at the jobs fair and is a fantastic opportunity.
“Overall the event is shaping up very well and is all starting to come together.
“In the coming days we will have news on even more positions that will be up for grabs.”
More than 250 jobs will be available at the event.

Other firms backing the event include world-renowned clothing brand SuperGroup.
Digger giant JCB will be the main event sponsor, and other firms involved include Punch Taverns and tyre giant Pirelli.
