A ROAD was cordoned off for nearly 12 hours due to fears over a van which caught fire.
Crews were alerted to the van on fire at the side of Cauldwell Road, in Linton, shortly before 10pm on Tuesday.
Police closed the road overnight due to concerns canisters in the van could explode.
A 200-metre cordon was put in place around the van, while the area was made safe.
The road was finally reopened shortly before 10am.
Derbyshire Police said the cause of the blaze had yet to be determined.
No-one was hurt.
