NEW manager Paul Peschisolido believes Burton Albion can be a force to be reckoned with in League Two next season.
180509 Peschisolido1 Peschisolido said at his Pirelli Stadium unveiling yesterday that his priority was to ensure Albion did not drop straight back into the Blue Square Premier after waiting almost 60 years to secure promotion to the Football League.
But he did not rule out the possibility of Albion emulating clubs who have successfully made the step up in recent seasons.
The 37- year-old Canadian said: "Staying up will be our main objective, but at the same time if you don't strive for the top, you don't achieve.
"We're going to go into the League unknown, but we'll be organised and looking forward to it, not only keeping in there but looking higher up the table as well.
"It's taken the club a long time to get to the Football League, so we understand the main objective is to keep them there.
"I'm not quite sure what the fans' expectations are, but I think they will expect to see a team that is organised, hard working and hard to beat these are the things we're going to work towards.
"Having seen teams (from the Conference) achieve success in consecutive seasons in League Two doesn't surprise me because I don't think that there is that much of a gap.
"If we can tweak things here and there, be diligent and hard working, there is that possibility that we might achieve more than what everybody is expecting."
