YOUNSGTERS at a primary school have enjoyed taking part in a first aid course.
060709 First aidKey stage one pupils at Stanton Primary School, in Woodland Road, took part in the course with their parents.
The youngsters had to carry out tests such as taking blood pressures and listening through a stethoscope.
Head teacher Christine Nettleton said: "These very young children loved the first aid session and the parents enjoyed seeing their children learning new skills.
"This is one of several first aid sessions we are holding at the school.
"Our older children will be fully qualified first aiders later in the week. It is such a great pleasure preparing children to deal with emergency situations.
"Who knows, one day this training may save someone's life."
