BURTON residents have been invited to reminisce on days gone by at photo screening event.
East Staffordshire Borough Council will put on the screening of vintage photographs taken in Burton during the 1960s and 70s as part of the Story Wells project, which was launched earlier this year.
The project aims to collect pictures from people in East Staffordshire about the Burton’s brewing heritage during the time.
Bernard Peters, the borough council’s deputy leader for service commissioning, said: “This is another council art project which celebrates Burton’s history and heritage.
“I am a proud Burtonian and I can remember the 60’s & 70’s well.
“The launch event was thoroughly enjoyed by all attendees and I am very grateful to those who took the time to attend.
“I would urge as many people as people to come along to the free event at our magnificent arts centre and share historic memories with other like minded people.”
The free screening will take place the Brewhouse Arts Centre, in Union Street, from 11am until noon on Saturday, December 14.
Free tea and coffee will also be provided.
