A HARD-working mother has been given the title of Mum of the Year from a Fradley pub.
The Fradley Arms on the A38, which ran the competition in conjunction with its Wacky Warehouse, asked children to nominate their mothers by drawing their picture that explains why she is a ‘super-mum’.
The competition, which also ran in each of the 71 Wacky Warehouses across the UK, was designed to give children the opportunity to really shout about why their mum is the best and give her an extra special treat this year.
Tracy Jewell was chosen from more than 70 entries after Jacob described her as a lifesaver that always makes him feel better whenever he falls over.
Thanks to Jacob’s creative drawing Tracy won £75 worth of Fayre & Square vouchers, a frame for the entry form and a teddy, while Jacob was given a free Wacky play voucher for his efforts.
Bernie Hughes, Wacky team leader at the Fradley Arms, said: “We had some really creative drawings and adorable reasons why their mum was a super-mum, but Jacob really stood out as the winner.”
