DURING the Christmas and New Year period some residents in East Staffordshire will experience a change to their refuse and recycling collections.

This alteration affects those properties who receive a collection on a Wednesday and a Thursday.

The collection date which would fall on Christmas Day will be collected on Saturday, December 21. Those who should have rubbish collected on Boxing Day will have their day changed to Saturday, December 28, and bins which should be collected on New Years Day will be collected on Saturday, January 4.

Up to three additional bags will be collected with the blue and grey bins from December 27 up to and including the 9th January on your collection day. Flattened cardboard will also be collected at the side of your blue bin.

The brown bins will not be suspended this year.

Further information is available by phoning 0800 269098 or visiting www.eaststaffsbc.gov.uk to download a collection calendar.
