THREE-QUARTERS of older web users in South Derbyshire and North West Leicestershire say going online has improved their life, according to a new report.
The study, by charity Age UK, says 39 per cent of web users aged 55-years-old or older in the East Midlands, can’t imagine life without the internet.
The study also said 28 per cent feel closer to friends and family as a result, while 39 per cent said they could not imagine life without the internet.
YouGov conducted the poll on behalf of Age UK to see how the internet had altered lives of older people in the East Midlands.
